Representative Experience

• Advised clients on project finance for seven wind power projects in Japan under the RPS program with a total capacity of over 150 MW: the Horonobe and Sarakitomanai projects in Hokkaido, the Hibikinada project in Kitakyushu, the Rokkasho project in Aomori, the Misaki project in Ehime, the Hachiryu project in Akita and the Wajima project in Ishikawa. Also advised clients on project finance for eight wind power projects under the FIT system with a total capacity of 130 MW, as well as on acquisition finance for a wind power project. Drafted and reviewed various types of documentation related to these projects, such as surface rights agreements, EPC contracts, O&M contracts, power purchase agreements, financing agreements and collateral agreements.
• Advised clients on financial restructuring for a wind power project.
• Advised a Japanese sponsor on arranging financing from JICA and other ECAs for its 50 MW wind power project in Mongolia.

• Acted for a sponsor in relation to a 111 MW mega solar project in Hokkaido.
• Acted for an international financial institution on its financing of a 31.2 MW solar power project in Gunma Prefecture, Japan, sponsored by an international independent solar power producer.
• Advised an international energy company on the JPY 10.98 billion non-recourse project financing of its 32 MW solar power generation facility in Kumenan City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan.
• Acted for a sponsor in relation to an 82 MW mega solar power plant in Kyushu and a 40 MW mega solar power plant in the Chugoku region of Japan.
• Acted for clients in drafting lease agreements for rooftops.
