Collectively, the Pacific Alliance countries of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, are the eighth largest economy in the world, comprise 38% of the GDP in Latin America, 50% of the total trade and 45% of all FDI to the region. The Pacific Alliance seeks to create an attractive economic bloc and a free-trade zone and is reshaping the economic landscape as one of its founding primary objectives is promoting trade and investment with the Asia-Pacific region.
Topics to be discussed, include:
- The Pacific Alliance’s regulatory framework;
- Access to markets and liberalization policies on goods, services, capital;
- Improvements of regulatory standards in e-commerce, finance, telecoms, healthcare and cosmetics;
