IT law seminar – Cloud computing + GDPR countdown

Following from last year’s highly popular GDPR seminar, we will be looking at the key areas Japanese companies need to prepare for in the countdown to the GDPR which comes into force in May next year.  We will also cover recent developments in data protection laws in the EU including:

• the UK’s draft Data Protection Bill; and
• the recent Irish High Court case involving question of the validity of Standard Contractual Clauses

For the second half of the seminar, we are delighted to welcome Simon Hollander, who is in charge of legal matters of AWS Japan, to discuss the practice and trends in the risk allocation model between cloud vendors and users, as well as a comparison between cloud and on premises model.”
