[Important] Beware of Scammers Attempting to Impersonate Our Firm

Please be aware that scams and other forms of deception are taking place using the names of our firm and/or our attorneys. Fraudulent advertisements and other communications use Baker McKenzie’s name in various ways to solicit investments and payments, etc., including via social media, messaging platforms, email and regular mail. For the avoidance of doubt, all claims that the firm is involved, has advised on or is cooperating with investment schemes or the payment of fines in connection with individuals are false. We do not solicit investments or sell products to the general public and are not involved in the collection of fines from individuals or the organizations that employ them. Victims have also been fraudulently solicited to communicate with scammers via online messaging applications, such as Signal. Please do not be deceived by any scam or other fraudulent activity relating to claims about our firm.

If you receive an unsolicited communication or see a social media post from someone claiming to be one of our attorneys or someone else from our firm, please do not respond immediately. Carefully verify the authenticity of the contact or message and the identity of the person involved.

We have also reported these incidents to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (as of August 2024).
