2016 Luxury & Fashion Industry Roundtable
The luxury industry is seeing unprecedented changes in its legal environment with Japan, the EU and the US working on important changes to their privacy laws. The impact on luxury and fashion retailers whether off or online will be big. Most changes will not take effect before 2018 but organizational structures processing customer and employee information may have to change. Our 2016 Luxury & Fashion Industry Roundtable will focus on these issues. We will review the situation in Japan, the EU and the US.
We also want to focus the attention on:
- BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting): the new rules are already being rolled out. We will explain what the impact will be for Japanese subsidiaries of international groups.
- TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership): we will explain the impact this trade treaty will have for the luxury and fashion industry.
- Japanese legal changes: we will present changes in the Civil Code and competition law as they affect luxury and fashion retailers in Japan.
If you have specific topic that you would like us to cover, please feel free to email us. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the event.
